Abandon

Electronic music and interaction live(DIY photosensitive oscillator, Max/msp )

This work is an interactive experimental live performance that combines electronic music with hardware soldering of a photosensitive oscillator.
It expresses the theme of the growth journey of an abandoned baby. The inspiration is drawn from the Olympics and a Chinese-Australian swimmer of Chinese descent whose ancestral roots trace back to Jiangxi, China – she herself was an abandoned baby from Jiangxi. Traditional beliefs and various factors lead to numerous infants being abandoned in China every year. This piece is created as a tribute to this inspiration.

An Adventure Outside My Room

Experimental electronic music(DIY poly-pich synthesizer, effector)

This is a work created for social anxiety, depicting my recent state of mind and emotions. In this performance, I utilize my self-made oscillator as the primary instrument, augmenting it with hardware and software synthesizers to generate a variety of sounds. (Please disregard any timing issues with my guitar part in the live performance due to the delayed being slightly off beat.) Thank you for watching.

Palm Point

New Instrument

Palm Point is a new instrument I recently designed. It detects people's heart rate and convert it into heart rate variability. which are translated to continuous musical tones and sound. Through this calculation, people can hear their own subtle emotional changes. If the mood is more depressed, the dynamics of the melody will be lower; if mood is more relaxed, the dynamics of melody will be higher.
