As the main creator of this film, I was responsible for most of the audiovisual creation of the film, director, screenwriter, sound design, music, and clothing installation. It stated that a gender equality and society should avoid gender discrimination and stereotypes to the greatest extent. The work as a whole uses the shooting techniques of micro-films, with body language and lens language as visual materials, and sounds that match the film's storyline as auditory materials. At first, I encountered many difficulties in conceiving this work. It took about 4 months from the initiation of the idea to the completion of the script writing. During this period, the way of expression and the story of expression were constantly modified until the day of shooting. As a woman, I understand the injustice women encounter in society, so my creation is relatively smooth. In order to understand the life pressure suffered by men, I made a questionnaire on the Internet and interviewed some men with different personalities, ages and sexual orientations to try to think with them. Finally get the script of the film.
Petrichor is a contemporary dance work that examines our relationship with the environment and nature through the lens of Zen philosophy.
It emerges from the relentless tension within modern society, a society burdened with the daunting task of finding solace amidst a noisy, crisis-ridden world exacerbated by the conflict be- tween our physical reality and the digital spaces we occupy. This struggle mirrors the futile endeav- our depicted in the notable Chinese idiom", Fish- ing for the moon in the water". The performance explores the intricate interconnections and rela- tionships within our world and attempts to un- earth a sense of serenity through breathing, feel- ing, living, thinking, observing, and listening. It is a critical response to our collective struggle, urging us to confront and address the discord that permeates our existence.
